ROAD TO CL ROCK: NE OBLIVISCARIS.
Una deuda pendiente pronta a saldar es lo que teníamos con Ne Obliviscaris (NeO) quienes pisarán tierras nacionales luego de una larga espera. Los australianos vendrán a formar parte del festival de rock y retal más grande del año, el CL.Rock y lo harán celebrando los 10 años de su icónico disco Citadel.
Formados por Tim Charles en el violín y voz, Xenoyr en los growling, Matt Klavins y Benjamin Baret en las guitarras, Martino Garattoni en el bajo y Dan Presland quien se reincorpora a la banda en la batería; NeO ya cuenta con 4 discos de estudio desde sus composiciones extremadamente enrevesadas y cautivantes comenzaron a ver la luz el año 2003.
Su primer larga duración fue Portal of I el año 2012 siendo una revelación dentro de la comunidad del metal progresivo. La incorporación de las influencias clásicas de Tim re diseñan el modelo musical del progresivo para crear composiciones que nadan entre la técnica y la belleza sonora. Algunos toques oscuros gracias a los growlings de Xen, elevan cada canción al máximo. Pero no se quedan ahí y 2 años más tarde estrenan Citadel (vía Season of Mist) y aquí es donde realmente te comienza a explotar la mente.
Recientemente y como celebración de su década, este disco fue remasterizado por Mark Lewis (que mezcló / masterizó ambos álbumes EXUL y URN) y salió en todos los formatos digitales el pasado 16 de agosto. Aquí encontramos una obra maestra de una complejidad altísima. Cada sonido entrelazado con otro crean composiciones únicas en un juego entre la oscuridad y la nostalgia haciendo que sea una joyita musical.
En la actualidad, la banda se encuentra en gira promocionando su último larga duración Exul y gracias al cual tendremos el honor de presenciarlos en vivo; un disco que tiene innumerables aristas compositivas, con pasajes inquietantes, alto nivel técnico y letras que erizan la piel. Toda una experiencia que hará de este show un imperdible el próximo 10 de noviembre en el estadio Santa Laura.

Their first full-length was Portal of I in 2012 being a revelation within the progressive metal community. The incorporation of Tim’s classical influences re design the musical model of progressive to create compositions that swim between technique and sonic beauty. Some dark touches thanks to Xen’s growlings, elevate each song to the maximum. But they don’t stop there and 2 years later they release Citadel (via Season of Mist) and this is where your mind really starts to explode.
Recently and as a celebration of their decade, this album was remastered by Mark Lewis (who mixed / mastered both EXUL and URN albums) and was released in all digital formats last August 16th. Here we find a masterpiece of the highest complexity. Each sound intertwined with another create unique compositions in a game between darkness and nostalgia making it a musical gem.
Currently, the band is on tour promoting their latest full-length album Exul and thanks to which we will have the honor of seeing them live; an album that has countless compositional edges, with disturbing passages, high technical level and lyrics that make your skin crawl. A whole experience that will make this show a must-see on November 10 at the Santa Laura stadium.
